TUITION POLICIES: Dance Spectrum accepts CASH, PERSONAL CHECKS, VISA & MASTERCARD
Single classes are paid before class is taken. Session classes must be paid in full and prior to
or on the session start date. College students receive 5% discount on all tuition with student I.D.
*Class Cards may be used for continuing/on-going Jazz, Tap and Ballet classes. Class Cards are
kept on file, punched, and dated for each class attended. Class Cards are purchased for use within
120 days; extensions are at the sole discretion of the Director and/or Manager. Class Cards are
renewable, non-refundable, and non-transferable. A reminder may be sent to you to renew your
Class Card via USPS, e-mail, or lobby board. In the event of long-term illness or injury (requires
a physician’s note), tuition paid may be credited to future classes.
All Teen/Adult students and Session Students must sign in on the class sheet located at the
desk before the start of each class taken. (Please view the entire School Policies posted at school.)
Class Placement for NEW Students: Students with no previous dance training are urged to attend
Basic or Beginning classes. More accomplished dancers are encouraged to attend Advanced Beginning/
Intermediate classes for evaluation/assessment by the teacher. We make every attempt to continually progress classes and maintain true “level” throughout the year. Recommendations for the appropriate
class will be made after assessment. The decision for a student’s final placement in a class is at the
sole discretion of the Director.
Dance Attire: We recommend, but do not require, the following…
BALLET - Pink slippers (ladies), Black slippers (men). Traditional ballet attire for ladies is leotard,
tights, optional skirt, and optional lightweight sweater. We do not dictate color or style choices for
leotard, skirt, etc. Men may wear a white t-shirt and dark color sweatpants or dance pants.
JAZZ - Leotard, tights, jazz pants, athletic bra tops, etc. Jazz shoes, dance sneakers, or bare feet.
TAP - Leggings, pants, or shorts may be worn with leotard, athletic bra tip or t-shirt, etc. Socks
(anklet style) are often most comfortable in tap shoes. All students, including Basic Tap students,
are required to have tap shoes for tap class. Low heeled tap shoes are recommended for all students
for balance and clarity of sound.
NOTE: Limited supplies of “studio” tap shoes are available for Basic students to borrow for initial tap
classes. Students must leave a security deposit (US ID card or Credit Card) at the desk during class
to be returned at the end of class when shoes are returned.
